The most recent recipient of AAG’s Cartography Specialty Group (CSG) Master’s Thesis Grant was announced earlier this month. Meghan Kelly from the University of Kansas’ Department of Geography was awarded the grant for her thesis proposal entitled “Mapping Syrian Refugee Border Crossings: A critical feminist perspective.” Meghan Kelly is studying under the direction of Dr. Margaret Pearce, and her anticipated graduation date is July 2015.
The CSG Master’s Thesis Research Grants are intended to promote scholarly research in cartography to students who are currently enrolled in Geography or a related degree program.
